Life's Little Treasures joins the Humane Charities List

Humane Research Australia administers the Humane Charities List -  a guide to health-related charities that do not engage in animal research.

The charities listed vary greatly in the health-related aspects they offer; some fund biomedical research, others provide health services to people requiring care, and many provide information and support. The one thing they share is a vision for improved human health.

Humane Charities is therefore delighted to welcome the inclusion of a new charity to the List – Life’s Little Treasures -  Australia's foremost charity dedicated to providing support, friendship and information specifically tailored for families of premature or sick babies. The Foundation's services are available in hospitals (neonatal and special care units) and in the community when families come home. It was founded in 2005 by parents, all of whom had a sick or premature baby and realised how important it was for families to have access to information and a community they could identify with and feel part of - someone who understood the challenges that they faced. The Foundation’s vision is to ensure that all families enduring the difficult and life changing experience of having a premature or sick baby have easy access to critical information and community support to help make a difference to them and their child.

By donating to a Humane Charity on the list such as Life’s Little Treasures, you will be directing vital funding towards organisations that do not fund animal testing.
